The Promise, in One Paragraph
Every ADU project Ellery completes is governed by The Haven Standard: a written price before any work starts, a documented photo record when the work is done, and a 90-day workmanship promise that covers what we built, what we installed, and what we touched. If something we did isn’t right within 90 days of the service date, we come back, we fix it, and we don’t charge you again. No forms. No asterisks. No chase.
What’s Covered
- Our workmanship, in full. If something we built, framed, finished, or connected fails due to how we did the work, it’s covered.
- Parts and materials we supplied and installed. If a component we sourced and installed fails within 90 days, we replace it at no charge.
- A return visit, no fee. You call, we schedule, we show up – there is no service-call charge for a covered return under this promise.
- A full redo when a repair doesn’t hold. If the first correction doesn’t fix the problem, we don’t patch it again – we find the root cause and redo it.
- Site cleanup after every return visit. We leave the space the way we found it, or better.
- The documented record. Every visit – including return visits – is logged with photos of what we found and what we did. You get that record.
What Isn’t Covered

These exclusions exist because they’re fair, not because we’re looking for exits. If you’re not sure which side of the line something falls on, call us – we’ll come look and tell you honestly.
- Storm damage, flooding, or accidents after we left. We can’t warrant against weather events or impacts that happened after the project was complete.
- Work done by someone else after our visit. If another contractor opened the wall, changed the wiring, or modified what we built, the promise on that item ends there.
- Parts the customer supplied. We’ll install owner-supplied materials when agreed in writing, but we can only warrant the labor, not the component itself.
- Normal wear on equipment we didn’t install. Existing fixtures, appliances, or finishes that were already in place are not covered by this promise.
- Issues you declined to address when we flagged them. When we document a concern during the project and note it in the record, and you choose to defer it, that specific item is outside the promise – though we’ll still come back and look if you’re concerned later.
- Changes to the project scope requested after work was complete. The promise covers the work described in your written scope; additions or changes you later decide you want are new work, priced as new work.
How to Use the Promise
Step 1: Call (971) 497-2402 or book online
A live person answers – no voicemail queue, no callback promise. Tell us you’re calling about a completed project and that you’d like a return visit under the promise.
Step 2: Tell us the job and roughly when it was done
We have your project on file: the scope, the price, the photos, the service date. You don’t need a receipt, a contract number, or anything printed. A name and an address is enough.
Step 3: We schedule the return visit
We give you a real window, a named crew member, and a text when they’re on the way – the same way we handled the original appointment. No open-ended “sometime this week.”
Step 4: We make it right
The crew reviews the documented record from the original visit, identifies what’s off, and corrects it. If it takes more than one trip, we make more than one trip – the promise doesn’t close until the work is right.
Timing

The 90-day window runs from the date the work was completed, as recorded in your project file. If you raise something on day 91 or 92, we’re still going to look at it – we’re not going to read the calendar at you if the situation is genuinely connected to something we did. Ellery ADU Studio operates through independently owned and operated locations, and every one of them honors this promise in full. The Haven Standard is not a regional option; it is the condition of operating under the Ellery name.
Questions About the Promise
If you have a question about what’s covered, whether your situation qualifies, or just want someone to talk through what you’re seeing, call (971) 497-2402. A live person picks up. No form required. No fee to ask. We’d rather you call and find out it’s nothing than sit on something that turns into a problem.
